AGPU Overview

AGPU is the core utility token of the StarMiner ecosystem, purpose-built to represent access to decentralized GPU computing power. It enables users to initiate compute tasks across a global network of high-performance nodes, while simultaneously serving as a reward mechanism for contributors who supply that compute.

At its core, AGPU transforms GPU resources into a programmable digital asset allowing developers, researchers, and organizations to tap into compute infrastructure in real time, without relying on centralized cloud providers.

Key Functions of AGPU

  • Access Credential: Acts as the native token to pay for AI compute workloads including training, inference, rendering, and scientific processing.

  • Incentive Unit: Distributed to GPU node operators, validators, and stakers based on verified task execution and uptime metrics.

  • Liquidity Asset: Tradable across exchanges and usable in DeFi protocols as collateral or yield-generating instruments.

  • Governance Bridge: Used in conjunction with AMAX AI for compute policy voting and network-level configuration.

Why It Matters

In today’s AI economy, access to GPU power is often bottlenecked by high costs, vendor lock-in, and geographic barriers. AGPU eliminates those constraints, providing a transparent, tokenized alternative to enterprise cloud solutions.

It not only makes compute more accessible and affordable — it also redefines GPU cycles as a liquid economic unit, empowering users globally to own and trade access to one of the most valuable resources of our time: computation.
