2. Computing Protocol Layer

The computing layer functions as the scheduling brain and pricing engine of the network. It manages:

  • Workload registration and classification

  • Job-to-node matchmaking using task profiles (latency, GPU specs, priority)

  • Multi-Tier Pricing (MTP) and dynamic cost estimation

  • Reputation scores for hardware providers and job submitters

  • Failover and fallback logic to handle failed tasks, node dropout, or congestion

A key innovation here is StarMiner’s use of market-aware algorithms, including Matrix Spillover, which intelligently routes excess demand to lower-congestion zones and redistributes task execution for maximum throughput.

This layer is optimized for throughput and liquidity of compute, rather than traditional blockchain consensus.


3. Application Layer

The application layer is the interface zone where developers, enterprises, and end-users interact with the system. It includes:

  • REST APIs and SDKs for job submission, result retrieval, and resource queries

  • Analytics modules for real-time performance tracking, node availability, and market heatmaps

Node Roles and Network Topology

To support a decentralized, highly dynamic compute grid, StarMiner introduces a role-based node framework:

  • Compute Provider Nodes: Supply GPU cycles; rewarded in AGPU

  • Validator Nodes: Ensure output correctness, benchmark node performance, prevent Sybil attacks

  • Service Requester Nodes: Entities submitting workloads and paying in AGPU

Each node is permissionless, but must undergo initial proof-of-capability and integrate into StarMiner’s telemetry and trust architecture to begin receiving jobs or staking rewards.
