AGPU Token

AGPU is the native utility token of the StarMiner network, designed to represent verifiable access to decentralized GPU computing power. It functions as the core transactional medium for submitting workloads, rewarding resource providers, and enabling programmable access to on-demand infrastructure across a globally distributed compute mesh.

AGPU is not backed by narrative or speculation its value is directly linked to the availability, quality, and usage of physical GPU resources provided by network participants. It is a work-token with utility at its foundation and economics driven by actual compute throughput.

Primary Functions

  1. Access and Consumption

    • Users pay in AGPU to request compute jobs including AI training, inference, rendering, and data processing.

    • Tasks are matched and priced in real-time using StarMiner’s dynamic Multi-Tier Pricing (MTP) engine.

    • AGPU usage is metered and verifiable, aligning cost directly with resource consumption.

  2. Incentives and Rewards

    • AGPU is distributed to Provider Nodes for successfully completing compute jobs.

    • High-performance, low-latency nodes receive increased payout rates via reputation multipliers.

    • Validators, Oracles, and governance actors may also receive AGPU as part of system maintenance and accuracy guarantees.

  3. Liquidity and Interoperability

    • AGPU can be exchanged for stablecoins, wrapped tokens, or staked within DeFi protocols.

    • It functions as a compute-backed asset, enabling composable infrastructure for builders integrating decentralized computation into their applications.

Supply and Issuance

AGPU follows a performance-driven issuance model:

  • It is earned exclusively through contribution there are no passive emissions or inflationary staking pools.

  • Issuance is governed by job volume, network participation, and behavior-based reward contracts.

  • Burn mechanisms are integrated into job execution and transaction fees, creating deflationary pressure as network demand scales.

This ensures that AGPU remains scarce, utility-bound, and sustainability-aligned.

Usage Across Network Layers

  • Application Layer: Used by clients to pay for compute tasks and manage job lifecycle costs.

  • Computing Protocol Layer: Required for tier selection, queuing priority, and staking into task-specific vaults.

  • Blockchain Infrastructure Layer: Used in staking, bonding, and payment settlement across smart contracts.

AGPU is not a governance token. It is designed for execution, access, and throughput and holds value only because the network delivers compute on-chain in a transparent, verified manner.

Strategic Positioning

AGPU is one of the few tokens in Web3 that:

  • Is fully tied to productive infrastructure

  • Cannot be passively farmed or emitted

  • Reflects real-time compute demand, not just speculation

Its design supports long-term growth by:

  • Encouraging real-world contribution

  • Aligning protocol value with compute consumption

  • Serving as the liquidity engine for decentralized infrastructure

Summary

The AGPU token is not just a unit of currency it is the fuel of StarMiner. It powers tasks, rewards contribution, and reflects real, monetizable demand for decentralized GPU computation. As the world enters a compute-constrained AI era, AGPU positions itself as the programmable commodity of the next infrastructure revolution.
